I just recently made my HTC Touch Pro2 to boot in Android and I am loving it thanks to the folks at XDA! Well the android for HTC Touch Pro2 is not yet fully compatible having the phone originally built for windows. For one, it still doesn't have sound, you can place calls and talk to the person on the other end of the line but you cannot play music or have a ringtone, not even hear an alert message. Another is the sleep mode, which is what I have the most trouble with. Right now, it just emulates the "sleep" mode by blanking the display but it is still very active and is still displaying something, only it is black (I can still see some light at the sides of the screen). Thus the battery is still draining while in sleep mode and is actually making the phone heat up a little.
But all in all it looks very promising! And it didn't disappoint me at all with my first encounter with Android. In fact I'm loving it. Windows 7 aside, I love Android more than Windows mobile and I can't wait to create my own apps for it!
